THIS JUST IN — It was brought to our attention after reading today’s Great Falls Tribune sports page around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, that Opheim High School senior Colleen Kinsey is one of 10 girls listed as state finalists in Montana for the national Wendy’s Heisman Award, which will be presented next month. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in athletics, academics and leadership at school and in the community. We were just about done putting the Leader together before it was to go down into the darkroom for shooting and development of negatives so they’re ready for Wednesday morning printing. We didn’t want big news like this to wait a whole week so we quickly dug up a photo of Colleen in recent action with the Scobey volleyball team. And here she is, number 6, watching Scobey’s McKenzie Kilgore making a pass in District 3C Tournament action in Scobey. We’d also like to note that Samantha  Olson of Westby High School is a finalist for the same award. Best of luck to both girls. — Leader Photo, mike
