The Searchlight would like to welcome its new editor, Kara Halvorson.

Halvorson is a Culbertson native and has returned to her home while she finishes her schooling online. Halvorson graduated from the Culbertson Public Schools in May 2001. She and her son, Nyreece, age three, have blessed the community once again with their presence.

Although this is a new experience in the work force for Halvorson, she says she is happy to help the community while gaining a new experience.

This is an exciting new challenge, and she is confident that she will be successful in managing the everyday operations of The Searchlight.

Halvorson welcomes the community to submit new ideas and articles.
