Young Wolves Perform Well At Home Jamboree

The seventh-grade Wolf Point volleyball team won the majority of its games against Plentywood and Glasgow at the Wolf Point Jamboree on Oct. 6.
The team won two out of three games against Glasgow with scores of
19-25, 25-10, 15-5. Against Plentywood, the team also won two with scores of
23-25, 25-21, 15-11.
The top defensive player was Savannah Wozniak and the top offensive player was Harmoni Campbell.
Jaki Harada scored 11 points and made two aces, Wozniak scored 12 points and made one ace, Roxanne Vermette scored three points and made one ace, Campbell scored 17 points and made five aces, Alexis DeWitt scored four points and made two aces, and Celeste Johnston made 11 points and made one ace.
Coach Melissa Cromwell was very proud with how the young girls played.
“The young wolves used superb serving in both matches to come from behind and win. We served consistently and totaled 12 aces. The girls also battled hard at the net with several great teamwork plays. I was very pleased with their hustle and focus to win,” Cromwell said.
