The Frontier School Lady Mustangs’ volleyball teams went undefeated at the Scobey Jamboree on Sept. 29.
The Frontier A team defeated a tough Glasgow Red team in its first match with scores of 21-25, 25-15, 15-7.
Mandi Martin had 11 serves and one ace, Jadyn Myrick had eight serves and two aces, Kelsie Neubauer had two serves, Ashtyn Hentges made seven serves and one spike while Aubrey Zilkoski made three serves, two spikes and one extra effort.
Kylie Kirkadie had two serves, three spikes and one extra effort; Charlene Allmer had two serves and an ace; and Patience Muth added two serves. Mackenzie Whitehawk also contributed.
The Frontier A team then defeated Poplar in two sets, 25-18, 25-12. Martin made six serves and two aces; Myrick had five serves, seven spikes and two extra efforts; Neubauer made three serves, one ace and one spike; and Hentges made one serve. Kirkaldie made four serves and two spikes; Allmer had five serves; Muth had two serves, one ace and one spike; and Whitehawk and Zilkoski both contributed to the team effort.
The Frontier B team also defeated a Glasgow team, overcoming Glasgow White in the first match, 25-17, 25-13. Frontier then defeated Wolf Point, 25-18 25-12.
Brenna Kurokawa had 14 serves, three aces and one extra effort; Madison Kinzie had seven serves and one ace; Elizabeth Zimmer had one serve; Samantha Goodman had six serves and three spikes; and Anamarie Long had six serves and one ace.
Mary Bighorn made nine serves and one spike, Kassandra Kirkaldie had 12 serves, two aces one spike and two extra efforts; and Semarah Wells had four serves and three extra efforts.
Frontier will be in Wolf Point Saturday, Oct. 6, for the Wolf Point Jamboree with the first matches scheduled for 9 a.m. The volleyball season will end the following week with Poplar hosting the last jamboree of the year.
