On Saturday, March 8, Wolf Point’s AAU team traveled to Glendive to compete. And they did fantastic bringing home an impressive amount of wins. Here are the results by division:
In the Tot Division, wrestling at 36.3 lbs., Chasyn Arneson won first place. Bella Doornek wrestled at 38.1 lbs. and took third place. In the 40 lb. class, Pacer Garrett took second place. Owen Moran was wrestling at 41.2 lbs. and brought home fifth place. Stone Lilley weighed in at 45 lbs. and won first place. Weighing in at 53.3 lbs., Knute Knerr too third place. And, weighing in at 58.5 lbs., Richard Campbell took second place.
In the Bantam Division, weighing in at 41.2 lbs., Navarjo Escarcega won first place. Rebel Mays weighed in at 47.1 lbs. and too second place. Camden Doornek, wrestling at 49 lbs., won first place. Wrestling in the 52.3 weight class was Blake Lambert who took fourth place. Wrestling at 53.9 lbs., Ranon Arneson brought home third place. And, weighing in at 62.2 lbs, was Cale Jensen who took fourth place.
In the Midget Division, Dominic Boitano wrestled in the 63.5 lbs. weight class and won third place. In the 75.7 lbs. class, Peyton Summers won first place. Weighing in at 75.7 lbs., Jordan Davis took fifth place. Johnny Knerr weighed in at 84 lbs., and took fourth place. Forrest Dumont, wrestling at 118.8 lbs., won first place. And, also wrestling at 118.8 lbs., Kyler Main took second place.
The Novice Division started with Lance St. Germaine wrestling at 70.7 lbs., and he took fourth place. Weighing in at 75.3 lbs, Canyon Casterline too second place. In the 86 lbs. weight class, Wilfred Lambert brought home second place. And, Sage Hutchinson, wrestling at 90 lbs., took fourth place.
In the Schoolboy Division, Wolf Point had only two wrestlers. Leading off at 117.7 lbs., Shikyra Medicine Stone took third place. Also wrestling at 117.7 lbs, Raymond Knerr took fifth place.
Wolf Point also had two wrestlers qualified for and competing in the Middle School State Championships held in Lewistown on the same day. Wrestling at 80 lbs., Matthew DeWitt took fourth place. And Quinn Whitmus, wrestling at 110 lbs., took fifth place.
Both Matthew and Quinn have now qualified to compete in the Middle School Duals. This competition will be held in Iowa in April.
