Ladies’ Volleyball Team Competes Against Malta Over Weekend

The Wolves’ volleyball team played against Malta this weekend on its home court. The scores for five matches were 25-15, 21-25, 25-22, 18-25 and 10-15.
Sarah Hafner made five of the team’s total 18 aces, Alyssa Hoversland made 28 out of 34 assists, and T’Elle Evans made 12 of a total 39 kills. Ashley Page was responsible for five of 14 digs and Hoversland made three of six blocks.
On Malta’s side, Markelle Lett had five aces out of 19, Courtney Henry had all 27 assists and Darby Schye had 12 of 40 kills. Henry had 14 of 49 digs, and Schye made two of three blocks.
The junior high girls competed in the Glasgow jamboree over the weekend against Plentywood and Scobey. In the games against Plentywood, the team lost 25-22 and 25-18.
In the matches against
Scobey, the team was defeated 25-20 and 25-20.
Celeste Johnston scored 17 points and had four aces and Jaki Harada scored 10 points and had two aces. Savannah Wozniak made four points, Roxanne Vermette scored three, Alexis DeWitt scored three, and AmandaLaura Weeks scored one point.
The varsity team competes in Dickinson this weekend and the junior high girls will play in the Frontier jamboree on Sept. 22.
