Frontier School’s Lady Mustangs traveled to Glasgow to compete in the junior high volleyball jamboree on Sept. 15, where both the Frontier A and B teams won both of their matches.
The A team defeated Glasgow White in the first match, 25-11, 25-19. Contributing to the effort were Mandi Martin, eight serves with three aces; Jadyn Myrick, seven serves, one ace and six spikes; Kelsie Neubauer, two serves and three spikes; Ashtyn Hentges, seven serves and four spikes; Aubrey Zilkoski, two serves and one spike; Kylie Kirkaldie, three spikes.
The A team defeated Wolf Point in three sets, 25-27, 25-20, 15-9. For Frontier Martin, 11 serves, one ace, five spikes and two extra efforts; Myrick, two serves and nine spikes; Neubauer, five serves, one spike and two extra efforts; Hentges, six serves, one ace and two spikes; Zilkoski with three serves, one ace, seven spikes and one extra effort; Kirkaldie with two spikes.
The B team had a winning effort against Glasgow Red in match one, 25-18, 25-17. Frontier defeated Glasgow White, 25-6, 25-14. The following Frontier students contributed in the games: Brenna Kurokawa, 24 serves and five aces; Madison Kinzie, three serves; Elizabeth Zimmer, two serves with an ace, Samantha Goodman, one serve; Anamarie Long two serves; Imani Bighorn, five serves, two aces and one spike; Kassandra Kirkaldie, five serves, one ace and two spikes and Sarah Wells, two serves.
The Lady Mustangs will host a jamboree at Wolf Point High School Saturday, Sept. 22, with the first matches beginning at 9 a.m.
