The Fort Peck Youth Recreation Department has been busy providing recreation activities to local area youth.
A new backboard was recently purchased and raised at the Wolf Point westend housing playground. The old backboard was shattered last year and children were unable to use the full court until this week.
Local youth recreation staff have been providing activities in their respective communities for youth.
In Fort Kipp, Darwin Longtree is holding activities in the Jim Black Dog hall after school.
In Brockton and Riverside, Jace Lambert and Jonathan Brown are holding youth activities after school at the Brockton Schools.
In Poplar, Richard McDonald and Marcus Vandall are running Youth Soccer at the Poplar baseball field.
In Wolf Point, Jason Azure is helping with boxing and after school activities at the west end playground.
In Oswego, Sue Bauer is providing activities to local youth at the Community Hall.
In Frazer, Tasha Fourstar holds after school activities at the Boys and Girls club. Snacks are being provided to youth in all communities, said youth recreation director Stacey Summers.
The youth recreation program also assisted other programs which provided activities for youth such as Little Guy Football, boxing and soccer programs who requested aid for equipment, said Summers.
