Members of the Bike and Build Bicycle Club will be in Wolf Point on Monday, Aug. 5, as part of their annual trek across the Hi-Line and upper United States. The bicyclists come from across the United States to participate in this annual event and they make Wolf Point one of their stay-over stops and camp at First Lutheran Church.
The Optimist Club, with the help of several businesses and individuals in the community, will be providing them with their evening meal.
Following the meal, members of the bike club and Optimist Club members will be available to work with area bicyclists to teach safety tips, make minor repairs to bikes and just talk about their experiences.
Various businesses in Wolf Point have made monetary contributions to the bike safety clinic, making it possible for local youth to get their bikes repaired at no cost to the participant.
The bike safety session will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at the First Lutheran Church parking lot. Participants will receive bike safety handouts and a certificate for attending as well as have their names entered into drawings for prizes. Wolf Point City Police Dept. will be on hand to register bikes as well.
All area youth and adult riders are welcome to attend this event.
