Helen Ruth Jeanette Buettner Simenson Eggebrecht was born on Feb. 12, 1922, to Fred and Maude (Pattison) Buettner in Wolf Point, Mont. She died at the Faith Home in Wolf Point, Mont., on March 7, 2013.
I was raised on the Buettner homestead north of Wolf Point. I attended the Divide School through the eighth-grade and graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1941.
I married Oliver Simenson on Aug. 30, 1941. Oliver died in 1969. Our children are Marlene, Janet, Tom and Karen.
I married Raymond Eggebrecht on Nov. 24, 1978.
I was a waitress at Norby’s Sweet Shop and the Sherman Hotel in the ‘40s and ‘50s. I worked at Dasinger Cleaners for 14 years. I started working at the clerk and recorder’s office in 1964 and served Roosevelt County as the clerk and recorder for 28 years.
I was preceded in death by husband, Oliver Simenson; brother, Ralph Buettner; sister, Hazel Gruefe; sons-in-law, Gary Solheim and Bruce Houg; and great-grandson, Riley Brekke.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Egge-brecht and her four children, Marlene (Dewayne) Jager, Janet Simenson, Tom (Carol) Simenson and Karen Solheim. She is also survived by her brother, Duane Buettner; sister, Marge Dozier; special friend, Virginia Plouffe; and special daughter, Donna Mann; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service was Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wolf Point, Montana. Burial was at the Greenwood Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point is assisting with the arrangements.
