Dorrayne Anderson

Wanda Dorrayne (Hill) Anderson passed away peacefully Aug. 18, 2018.
She was born in October 1923 to Anna and Carl Hill in the Nickwall community, south of Wolf Point.


After teaching for several years, she married Robert K. Anderson in 1951 and they farmed north of Wolf Point until retiring in 1982 and moving to
Kalispell.
While in Kalispell, Dorranyne was taking classes at the community college of botany and archeology and went on many field trips to work at different digs in the state. The State of Montana, also used the botany class to go into areas to record different species of plants or blighted areas for documentation.
After 28 years in Kalispell, they moved to Billings, Mont., to be closer to their grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed all of them greatly.
Dorrayne is survived by her sister Doris Ann Anderson, Libby, Mont.; son, Richard (Vickie) Anderson, Shepherd, Mont.; daughter, Laurie Anderson, Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Reggie (Monica) Anderson, Billings, Mont., Chrissy (Aaron) Rossow, Shepherd, Mont., Erin (Vijeta Sabale) Anderson, North Hollywood, Calif., and Teddi Anderson, Whitefish, Mont.; and great-grandchildren, Riley Anderson, Julia Rossow and Hank Rossow.
Dorrayne was preceded in death by husband, Robert K. Anderson; son, Craig D. Anderson; and sister, Ronda Lorrayne Anderson.
