Michael Lee

Michael Richard Andrew Lee, aged 13, died on Friday, July 27, 2018, in Wolf Point, Mont.
Born to Frederick Lee and Kimberly Evans on Sept. 9, 2004, in Great Falls, Mont., Michael lived most of his life in Miles City, Mont. He first moved to Wolf Point to live with his father in February 2016, where he attended Northside School as a fifth- grader.
For sixth-grade, Michael, his father and his “step, step”-mom, Colleen moved to Townsend, Mont. Michael loved being in the mountains and loved to go fishing in the Missouri River. He made a lot of good friends in Townsend.
For seventh grade, the family moved back to Wolf Point with the intent of making this their permanent home. Michael played middle school football and basketball for the Wolf Point Wolves.
Football was his passion in life and he dreamed of becoming a professional NFL football player. He even talked about hoping to get a scholarship to go to the University of Wisconsin to play for the Badgers in college because they “have a good football program” he would tell us.
He was a die hard Seattle Seahawks football fan. Most of his wardrobe and his entire room was green and blue for them. He could tell you every player and what their stats were by heart.
This last year, Michael also developed a strong interest in basketball and became a fan of the Boston Celtics. Besides sports, Michael loved to play video games with his friends.
Michael came to love Wolf Point and he made many really good friends at school, especially from the sports teams.
His favorite subject was always math. Not too long ago, Michael told us that he was looking forward to school starting up gain so he could see all his friends and he was counting down the days to football starting up again.
Michael made his parents, Frederick Lee and his step mom Colleen Timmins-Lee, laugh every day. He was a big joker and love to tease them. He gave Colleen the gift of motherhood. They will miss his sarcastic comments, shy smile and relentless joking very much.
Michael also spent a lot of time with his grandfather Bud Biery at his ranch in Rosebud, Mont. Michael loved to hang out with his grandpa.
Michael is survived by his father, Frederick Lee; his step-mom, Colleen Timmins-Lee; his sister, Skylar Niles; his grandfather, Bud Biery; his great-grandmother, Geneva Biery; his aunt, Jenny Demming; his cousins, Kyra and Casey Demming; and many other family members that loved him so much and will miss him terribly.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Katheren Jo Biery; and his beloved mother, Kimberly Duanne Evans. They are all together now.
Frederick and Colleen want to invite everyone from the community to the funeral of their son, Michael Lee. We want some good to come out of this tragedy and want to raise awareness about the destructive nature of suicide on families and the need to talk to someone … anybody before making such a permanent and tragic decision.
Viewing will be Thursday, Aug. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3. A luncheon will follow. All services will be held at the Wolf Point First Lutheran Church (415 Johnson St.). Interment will be at the Forsyth Cemetery in Forsyth, Mont.
