Valerie Jane Follet, 41, of Wolf Point, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at the Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point.
She was born July 25, 1977, to Harry Follet Jr. and Dorothy Follet in Wolf Point. She grew up in Frazer and attended Frazer Schools, where she was active in cheerleading, band and singing.
She loved to go hunting and fishing, visiting with friends and listening to music of all kinds. She loved spending time with her children and her brothers and sisters.
She was married to Robert Iron Shield in June 1992. They later separated.
For a short time, she did housekeeping at the Cottonwood Inn in Glasgow.
She enjoyed powwows, but mainly just enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Follet.
She is survived by her children, Katelyn Clark of Frazer, Jacinta Big Leggins of Billings, Jenna Sesma of California and Jerome Follet of Wolf Point; two grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Harriet Jean Follet and Blossom Star Eagleman; and brothers, Luke Follet of McLaughlin, S.D., Patrick, Kerby and Orlando Follet, all of Wolf Point.
Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 16, starting at 4 p.m. until the family service at 7 p.m. at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at the Oswego Presbyterian Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
