Martha Ann Frederick Bridges, 63, of Poplar, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, in Wolf Point.
She was born Dec. 22, 1948, to Lewis and Hattie (Hinman) Frederick in Wolf Point. She attended school in Poplar.
In June 1969, she married Dean Sidney Bridges in Wolf Point. To this union a daughter, Judy Diane Bridges Collings, and a son, Sidney Dwight Bridges, were born.
They moved to Wolf Point, Glasgow, Havre, Germany, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Bozeman. She moved back to Poplar in 1999 to reside in the same town as her siblings. Family was very important to her.
She attended Job Corps and became a cosmetologist. She attended college in Cheyenne, Wyo., where she became a Certified Nurse’s Aide. She worked in nursing homes in Cheyenne and Bozeman. She also did home health care and enjoyed her clients and patients. Over the years, she was employed with the Boys and Girls Club, Poplar School and Northeast Montana Health Services.
She was very active in her church and with the Lord’s Table in Wolf Point.
Her hobbies included embroidery, crocheting and housesitting.
She always had a smile on her face and she always was willing to help family and friends. Her pride and joys were her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy, Joe, John, David, Mark, Samuel and Abraham Frederick.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Collings of Bozeman; son, Sidney Bridges of Wolf Point; four grandchildren; brother, Pete Frederick; and four sisters, Esther Stuehm, Ruth Frederick, Sarah Thompson and Mary Frederick.
Her funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 15, at the Assembly of God in Poplar with cremation to follow. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements
