Viola Unruh, 95, of Billings, died July 11, 2014, at Laurel Health and Rehab where she had resided for the past three years.
She was born April 11, 1919, in Bloomfield to Bernard and Fanny Soft and lived and grew up in the Bloomfield area.
Shea married David Unruh on Jan. 8, 1938, in Richey and they were happily married for 58 years. They lived on a farm in the Richey area and in Richey, and then moved to Glendive where they lived for 23 years, then ultimately to Billings in 1974.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; two sons, Lanny and Steven; two daughters, Karen and Elona; and one granddaughter, Lisa.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald and Kevin, both of Billings; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Cloe Scheer of Circle.
Visitations will begin at noon on Thursday at Smith Downtown Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Smith Downtown Chapel with private interment at Mountview Cemetery.
