Edwin Lyle Rennick, 63, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, near Wolf Point, in a truck accident.
He grew up in the Glasgow and Opheim areas. After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Army. He returned to the area and went into construction and farm work. He later owned an auto repair shop during the time he participated in demo derbies and as mechanic for stock car racers. After closing the auto repair shop, he became employed by Scanlan Construction and remained with them until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Fuhrman and Gerald Muriel Rennick; and a brother, Gerald “Charlie” Rennick.
He is survived by his companion, Melody Foster; son, Mike Zahn; daughter, Meagen Johnson; step- daughter, Brandi Childress; brothers, Richard Fuhrman, Allan Murch, Lee Murch, Carl Rennick, Rod Archambeault and Terry Archambeault; sisters, Pam Bicker, Vicki Wiseman, Sheri Morey and Patti Hoerster; and numerous grandchildren.
His funeral service was held Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the First Baptist Church in Glasgow. Interment was at Hillview Cemetery in Hinsdale.
