Kenneth Walter was born Aug. 13, 1931, to Inez and Joe Walter in Wolf Point, Mont. He died Jan. 16, 2014, in Casa Grande, Ariz., with his wife and children by his side.
Ken graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1949. On July 16, 1951, he married Leone Durkin and they have been married for over 62 years. They have two children, Karen (Phil) Fruchtl and Ron (Penny) Walter.
Ken started his career at an early age with Buttrey Foods. He worked his way up in the company and became meat manager, moving his family to Conrad, Anaconda and Butte, Mont., where he retired after 36 years of dedicated service.
Ken enjoyed life watching football and playing cards, but he loved going to the “lake” where he and his family spent over 40 years enjoying boating, swimming and fishing with his wife, children and grandchildren along with his many friends and extended “lake” family.
Ken is survived by his wife, Leone; daughter Karen and son Ron; along with grandchildren, Rony (Christa) Fruchtl, Kelli (Paul) Foos and Brian (Crystal) Walter; four great-grandchildren, Avery, Emery, Carson and Taylor, who loved and adored their “G-Pa.” He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Wamback; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Ken’s request, no services will be held.
Hey, Dad, “See ya down the Road.”
