Eunice “Kay” Longtree, 48, of Poplar, died in Billings Friday, Jan. 24, 2014.
She was born in Poplar Aug. 23, 1965, to Elenor Muskrat. She attended Poplar School.
She met her companion John Martell Sr. in 1980 and, through the years, they had 12 children and remained close friends. She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed outdoor activities with family and friends especially during the summer. She enjoyed fishing, listening to music, doing scratch cards and reading. She was happy when she gave things to people she cared about and would help people if they needed it. She enjoyed watching movies and was always willing to try new things. She enjoyed spending time with her children’s father, John Martell Sr.. They enjoyed many things together as friends.
She is survived by six daughters, Yovette Dupree, Trista Jackson, Blair Veliz, Johnna Runkel, Mada Martell and Semone Martell, all of Wolf Point; five sons, Jordan Martell of Alabama, Thomas Martell Sr., Chance Martell, Morgan Martell and Isaiah Martell, all of Wolf Point; two sisters, Margaret Olson and Valerie Longtree, both of Poplar; two brothers, Malcolm Goodbird Sr. and Bernard Goodbird, both of Poplar; and 16 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Trinity Martell; and brother, Gordon Goodbird.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Martell Cemetery in Blair. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
