Melda Deloris Fire Moon, 57, of Glendive, formerly of Frazer, died at the Glendive Medical Center on Nov. 6, 2013.
She was born to Lyle and Leta Fire Moon on May 5, 1956. She was the oldest daughter of eight siblings. At a young age of nine months, she was diagnosed with spinal meningitis. She lived with the family until the age of 25 and, at that time, she became a resident of Eastern Montana Industries in Glendive until her death.
She had an extended family at her residence in Glendive and had numerous special caregivers that shared in her life.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lyle Jr. and Vincent Reed.
Her siblings are Dawson FireMoon, Velda Stewart, Ingrid Fire Moon, Thomas FireMoon and Lyla Law.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment was at the Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
