Evelyn Esther Smith, 88, of Wolf Point, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.
She was born in Poplar Sept. 23, 1925, the daughter of John and Alice Lone Dog Smith. She was raised in the Riverside and Poplar area.
She was a loving auntie and grandmother to her many nieces, nephews and grandchildren, whom she helped raise. She enjoyed cooking and baking in her younger years. She enjoyed family gatherings and visiting.
She was an “Elvis” fan and listened to his music. She had a great love for her cats and treated them like her children. She enjoyed traveling and shopping.
Preceding her in death were her sisters, Marie Summers, Maybelle Chapman, Irene Hollow Horn, Fannie Kao and Mercy McDonald.
Her funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 7, at the Lindsey Memorial Church in Poplar officiated by Pastor Stanley Hollow Horn Jr. Interment was at the Poplar City Cemetery in Poplar. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point was entrusted with the arrangements.
