Two masked individuals walked into Northern Lights Casino Wednesday, June 12, at 8:22 p.m. while two more waited outside. Once inside, the suspects were armed and assaulted a 19-year-old female cashier with a bat before stealing over $1,000, reported the Wolf Point Police Department.
Suspicious activity at Northern Lights Casino was reported to 911 dispatch just minutes before it was robbed. While police were en route to investigate the suspicious activity report, they were told by dispatch a more serious situation was unfolding at the casino.
The WPPD, the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call.
The Montana Highway Patrol also responded since several officers were eating at a nearby establishment.
The suspects left the casino in a car, but were caught within minutes by law enforcement. Patrick Beauchamp, 23; John Myrick, 41; Olyn Payne, 33; and Donelle Parker, 41, were arrested for robbery.
The WPPD said an excellent eyewitness assisted in catching the suspects.
The injured cashier was transported to Trinity Hospital and later released.
