School Board Continues Hiring Process, Moves Monthly Standing Meeting Date

The Wolf Point School board recently held two special meetings to address small housekeeping issues.
On Aug. 24, the board unanimously approved hiring Julie D’Ambrosio and Michaele Keeter as assistant cooks, with both their background checks pending. The board also unanimously approved the 2011-12 Trustee’s Financial Summary.
In a subsequent Aug. 29 meeting, the board unanimously approved several more personnel hires.
Scott Vandall was hired as the junior high football coach, Cole Hanks was hired as the assistant high school boy’s basketball coach, Dave Allen and Marianne Reese were hired as co-assistant high school girls’ basketball coaches, and Melissa Cromwell and KD Madison were hired as co-coaches for the junior high girls’ basketball team.
Eric Peterson was selected as the assistant high school track coach; Jeff McMorris, for high school wrestling; and Scott Vandall and Ryan Helmer as co-coaches for junior high wrestling.
Sharon Kolstad was hired as an accompanist, and Katrina Vaira was hired as the junior high drill team coach.
Lynne Monson was hired for multiple positions and is set to be in charge of the extracurricular band and chorus programs for high school and junior high as well as the high school pep band and madrigal group and National Honor Society.
Patrice MacDonald will be in charge of the high school drama production, and Patricia Toavs was hired for concessions.
Wade Krauth was hired for FFA, Carrie Manning will be in charge of the Indian Club, KD Madison was hired as the junior class advisor, and Mike Erickson was hired as the activities director, the transportation director and for Letterwinners.
Melissa Cromwell was hired for both high school and junior high student council, and this year’s special education directors will be Patricia Toavs and Kim Hanks.
The board also unanimously agreed to move its standing meeting date from the second Monday of each month to the second Tuesday.
