On June 28, 1952, she married Dean V. Borgen in Glendive. Due to Dean’s work, they lived in several eastern Montana towns before settling in Wolf Point.
She was dedicated to her family and church. She volunteered and chaired many church circle activities, served on the board, participated in the Homemakers Club and styled hair at Faith Lutheran Home. She served on the credit union board, volunteered at school libraries inventorying books and enjoyed being a poll worker on Election Day.
She will be remembered for her great cooking and wonderful baked goods and her willingness to help.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Borgen.
She is survived by her sister, Lorraine Baumann of Sidney; children, Marsha Mills of Olympia, Wash., Sheri Larson of Wolf Point and Darrell Borgen of Wolf Point; her special companion, Gerald Simonsen; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She did not want her family to travel in adverse weather conditions so a celebration of her life will be held in early spring.
