The Fort Peck Tribes’ Fish and Wildlife Department has released the upcoming hunting season dates.
Waterfowl season opened Sept. 28, which is the same as the state. Hunters will need to purchase a land use permit at a cost of $35.
Pheasant season will take place from Oct. 12 to Nov. 17. The Montana state possession limit applies. Permits for in-state residents is $45 and out of state is $110. The elderly and the handicap have a discount of $35 for in-state and $75 for out of state.
Coyote season will be from Nov. 15 through April. 15. The cost is $25 and there is no limit.
Hunting swift fox and sage grouse are prohibited due to low numbers.
Licenses can be purchased at Hi-Line Sports and Cenex West in Wolf Point, D&G Sports in Glasgow, Beck’s in Poplar and Hi-Line Sports in Plentywood.
