Darla Shumway of Wolf Point (center) was elected to serve as the Montana State Elks Association’s second vice president for the 2013-14 year at the group’s annual summer convention, held July 25-27 in Livingston. Shumway is a past exalted ruler from the Wolf Point Elks Lodge #1764 and currently is a trustee of the lodge. She defeated Barry Fields of Great Falls Lodge #214, who also sought the position. Fellow officers being sworn in are (left to right) Jake Jacobs of Great Falls Lodge #214, trustee; Bob Stephens of Kalispell Lodge #725, secretary/treasurer; Shumway; Sherry Qunell of Sidney Lodge #1782, first vice president; and Marcus Burnham of Bitterroot Valley Lodge #1651 in Hamilton, president.
