The Thomas and Corinne Nyquist Foundation is interested in receiving applications for 2013 from nonprofit organizations in the Bainville/Cul-bertson/Froid area.
Up to $10,000 in grants will be awarded locally and in the New Paltz, N.Y., community.
In 2012 grants ranging from $500 to $1,500 were awarded.
The deadline for applications is Nov. 15. Awards will be made in January.
Five organizations in the Bainville/Culbertson/Froid area received funding in 2012: the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #81, the Culbertson Museum, the Culbertson Public Library, the Golden Circle Senior Center and Roosevelt Medical Center.

The foundation is chaired by Tom Nyquist, who grew up on a farm east of Froid. His brother, Bob Nyquist, was a rancher in the Bainville area.
