The newest Culbertson Women’s Club’s community improvement project will be the addition of a splash pad, similar to the one pictured above, at the Culbertson swimming pool. The splash pad will feature four to five water play activities for all ages. Starting next fall, students at local schools will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite “Dumping Bucket.” Monetary donations will be the deciding factor for which dumping bucket is the children’s favorite and will be the focus feature of the splash pad. The Women’s Club will be doing numerous fundraising projects throughout the summer to kick off the fundraising drive in the fall. The first will be a “Movie on the Field” at the Culbertson baseball field on Wednesday, June 18. Gates open at 8:30 p.m. and the movie will begin at 9 p.m. Admission is free, but there will be a bucket for donations. Concessions will be available for purchase. Children need to be accompanied by an adult or caregiver. The Women’s Club is looking for local businesses or organizations that are willing to contribute time, service, materials or monetary donations.
