Funeral services for Joyce Norris, 78 of Culbertson, Mont., were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Culbertson, Mont., with Pastor Al Beyer officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Culbertson under the direction of the Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney, Mont. Memorials may be sent to Montana Talking

Joyce Lenora Norris was born on May 6, 1934, to John and Ethel Marie (Nacey) Schow in Culbertson, Mont. She attended school in Culbertson for 12 years, graduating in 1952.
On Nov. 11, 1952, Joyce married Gene Boid. To this union three children were born. They later divorced and she married Leroy Norris on May 1, 1971.
Joyce worked for the Town of Culbertson for 17 years, reading meters and helping in the office.
Her hobbies included sewing, knitting and refinishing beautiful antique furniture. On holidays, especially at Christmas, she enjoyed baking cookies and candy. Her specialty, hand-dipped chocolates, were favorite thoughtful gifts for family and friends. Joyce was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Culbertson.
Joyce passed away on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 26, 2012, at the Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson, Mont.
Joyce leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Leroy; daughters, Debi (Woody) Giles of Casper, Wyo., Jacki (Steve) Shilke of rural Williston, N.D.; son, Tim (Renee) Boid of Billings, Mont.; grandchildren, Scott Boid and Gina Allen, both of Casper, Wyo.; and great-grandson, Isaac Boid of Florence, Mont.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; and three baby sisters and a baby brother, who all died at birth.
